2020-2021 President’s Scholars

The President’s Scholarships are made possible by the generosity of benefactors who believe in the value of education and support our students on their journey of discovery.

Neeyati Sanjay Ajmera’s benefactor is Dr. Andrew Chong. The Dr. Andrew G. Chong scholarship is awarded to recognize exceptional students from any major. Dr. Chong is a business owner and holds a BS degree in electrical engineering and an MBA as well as a doctorate in optometry. He practices optometry in the San Gabriel Valley.

Suhani Bakta’s benefactors are Sung and alumnus Keith Soon Kim (’62, math, and engineering). The Kims are long-time supporters of Cal Poly Pomona. While a math and engineering student at CPP Kim was active in campus clubs and programs. The Kim Family Scholarship supports outstanding engineering and science students.

Sahar Kebriaei’s benefactors are the SIU family. Annie Chin was an orthodontist but is now retired. Her husband Tim, who passed away, was an anesthesiologist. The Siu Family Scholarship supports students who aspire to enrich the quality of life through science.
