As a pre-veterinary major who values giving back to the people and experiences that inspired his journey,
Wyatt sees his studies as a way to recognize the bonds between humans, animals and their environments.
He envisions his future career as a veterinarian as a means to encourage caretaking, an ethos that he has
embraced in his own leadership volunteerism. His work as an Assistant Scoutmaster in Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has allowed him the opportunity to teach youth members about his area of interest, mammalogy, as well as his love of hiking and National Parks. He notes that his overarching goal is to be a good person. “Whether its pursuit of a high GPA, sitting down to write the next chapter of a book, or taking my dogs for a walk, I keep the BSA slogan ‘do a good turn daily’ in mind.” Wyatt hopes to open his own veterinary practice and mentor aspiring students to find their own passions within the field that inspired him to learn about behavior, kindness and stewardship.
