At the heart of Ethan Tescon’s leadership and determination to succeed is his ability to foster connections. While taking 18 units one semester, he also led teams in three College of Business Administration case competitions. They finished first place in the CFA Society Orange County Student Managed Investment Fund competition, placed second in the Society for Human Resources Management event and completed Indiana State’s National Diversity Case Competition. One team’s name was the Quentin Quarantinos. “I made some really great friends that semester. It showed me exactly how strong I could be and how much growth can come if I’m determined enough to follow through on my commitments,” Ethan says. He also puts his faith into practice, leading his church’s music ministry and Cal Poly Pomona’s Catholic Newman Club. Ethan plans to work in finance or human resources in the entertainment industry, and is deeply appreciative for scholarship support that moves him closer to his dreams of “a great career, my future family and a place to call my own.”
