Megan fell in love with Cal Poly Pomona after taking a campus tour during her senior year of high school and was thrilled to be accepted into the psychology program. Overcoming past challenges with navigating school and mental health, Megan has found a passion for her education and a deep sense of accomplishment in pursuing her dream to help others through counseling. At CPP, she has earned recongition on the President’s and Dean’s honor lists each semester, motivating her to graduate and go to graduate school. “I do this for my grandparents, who have supported me every step of the way and have provided me with love. I do this for my mom because I am thankful she was able to improve her mental health and watch me achieve my goals. I do this for my dad, who never went to college and can see his child succeed. Lastly, I do this for my best friend, who I lost to suicide.” Megan plans to become an elementary school counselor.
