From participating in robotics competition teams since age 10 to hand-making personal protective equipment and now his current obsession with bicycles, Dhruv Madiraju finds happiness in solving problems and working through iterations of product design. Dhruv wants to pay forward the knowledge he explores to those who will most benefit. His training as a peer mentor for the Teen Talk app to promote mental health taught Dhruv the value of social engagement saying, “I find immense joy in helping and serving others. I hope to get to the point in my career where what I do as an engineer is able to help others in the communities that helped me grow.” For Dhruv, scholarship support is a reminder of “opportunity that comes as a byproduct of applying onself. I am humbled to be honored.”
