Joselyn Archila-Tello

Joselyn Archila-Tello

Norman Williamson Jr. Family President's Scholar

Major: Master’s in Public Administration

College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences

Activities: Interacting with different cultures to learn customs and traditions

Joselyn would tell future CPP students that “friendships and relationships built at the university will take you a long way.” One of her biggest inspirations is her mother, who “has been the most supportive cheerleader that I could ever ask for. Even though she is not the one attending school, she has stood by my side every year, encouraging me to persevere.” Seeing the dynamic social interplay in her undergraduate studies in human resources, Joselyn wants to learn all she can about its intersection with public service and to support first-generation students like herself. “My own journey has fueled my desire to become a mentor and champion for these students. Witnessing their growth and resilience has solidified my commitment to helping them bridge the gap and create a more level playing field.” Scholarship support for Joselyn will allow her more time to volunteer in her community and serves as a source of inspiration that she can affect change for others who want to pursue careers in the public sector.
