President Coley Welcomes You to Fall 2022

Hello Broncos, and welcome to Fall 2022 at Cal Poly Pomona!

Once again, the start of the academic year renews the excitement of our learning, teaching, and scholarship and refreshes the Cal Poly Pomona legacy as a university that transforms lives. Truly, a year of great potential and possibility awaits us all.

I especially welcome all our newest Broncos. Whether you are a student, faculty, or staff, when you come to Cal Poly Pomona, you become part of a campus community united in common cause and working together to achieve academic excellence, expand opportunity, demonstrate our value of an inclusive and diverse community, as we work collaboratively to create and disseminate knowledge.

While I celebrate the return of so many on-campus activities, I again emphasize that our top priority continues to be the health and safety of our university community. As we have done throughout the course of the pandemic, we will follow closely the national, state, and local guidance related to Covid-19, and I ask each of you to take the steps necessary to protect yourselves and others.

Regardless of the part we play at this great institution or of the destination we seek, each new year is an opportunity to grow and to explore new frontiers. It’s an opportunity to innovate and be creative. It’s an opportunity to make a difference. Cal Poly Pomona supports you in these endeavors. No matter your role, we support your success, and I am energized by the prospect of what you will achieve in the year to come and beyond.
