The Office of Conflict Resolution Services & Ombuds is available to Broncos at all levels of the university as an independent, informal, impartial, voluntary and confidential source for conflict resolution services, problem-solving support, resources, gaining perspective and developing options related to university structure, policies, procedures and practices centered by our guiding Principles of Community: which encourage us to Practice Mutual Respect, Cultivate Belonging, Foster Growth and Act with Integrity.
Meet Your Ombudsperson
Mark Patterson currently serves as Director of Conflict Resolution Services and Ombuds at Cal Poly Pomona and as interim ombuds for Cal State University Monterey Bay. Before working at Cal Poly Pomona, Mark founded the Ombuds Office for California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) and served as University Ombuds for the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
