CPU 4010

Due to COVID-19, the GWT requirement has been suspended as a condition of graduation for spring 2020 and summer 2020.  If you have questions about the GWT, please email studentsuccess@cpp.edu.

CPU 4010 is a course offered each semester to students who have taken the GWT two or more times, but have not passed.  Students who pass the course have satisfied the GWT requirement.

• Students will focus on writing, revising, and proofreading strategies and produce five essays, from which they will select the best three to submit in a portfolio to be assessed by GWT readers.  If the portfolio passes, then the student’s transcript indicates that the GWT requirement has been met.

• Students wishing to apply for enrollment into CPU4010 should complete a CPU 4010 application and submit it to lrc@cpp.edu. 

NOTE: Due to the high number of applications submitted for each semester, students that are admitted into the class typically submit their applications one full academic semester before the semester they wish to enroll. (For example, a student wishing to enroll in spring semester should submit an application at the beginning of fall semester)
