Student Health and Wellness Services

Bronco Kindness Project

The Bronco Wellness Center and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) are hosting a virtual letter exchange program to help students connect while attending classes virtually. All students at Cal Poly Pomona are welcome to participate.

You can choose to write a letter, or you can request a letter.

Letter Writing Instructions: Looking for a way to support a fellow Bronco? Send a virtual letter to welcome a new student, offer support (to a new or current student), offer words of advice (to a new or current student), or show someone that they are cared about. Sending a virtual letter is a simple gesture where you can show your support to another student during this time of uncertainty. Your letter should be 500 words or less (about 1 page) and provide positive affirmations and supportive messages. You can write your letter in a Microsoft Word document or pdf. Once you’re done with the letter, click the link below to submit:

Fill out the form at the link below and you will receive your letter within 1-2 weeks.

  • The delivery/receival process of letters may take 1-2 weeks depending on the number of current requests.
  • Please keep the content of your letter to 500 words or less, about 1 typed page. If your submission exceeds 500 words it may be edited.
  • You can choose to send a general letter, or send a letter targeted towards a student’s involvement (first year students, transfer students, student-athlete, veteran, cultural center, major)
  • Virtual letters are meant to provide positive affirmation and supportive messages. Any submission that includes explicit content, threats, or are deemed inappropriate will not be processed.
  • If there is any content of concern (our primary focus is your wellbeing) a referral to the Behavioral Intervention Team may be initiated to help connect you to appropriate campus resources.
