The Department of Urban and Regional Planning (URP) cordially invites you to attend Margarita McCoy Seminar and Scholarship Award Ceremony. With generous donations from the McCoy family and other donors, URP department is pleased to select the first recipient of the Margarita P. McCoy Scholarship in Urban Planning. In celebration of the establishment of the scholarship and in memory of Margarita P. McCoy, URP invites Dr. Lisa Ann Schweitzer, the winner of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP) 2016 Margarita McCoy Award, for a public lecture.

Dr. Alvaro Huerta, an Assistant Professor in the the Department of Urban and Regional Planning and Ethnic and Women's Studies departments won the 2016 Edward Blakely Award. The award was give at the meeting of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning conference meeting in Portland, Oregon.
