Dale Prize 2020: #WeAre! | View program
Energized by the #MeToo movement, #WeAre! tackles the under-representation of women in the planning profession and discrimination against LGBTQ+. The prize is awarded in pairs: to a practitioner and scholar whose work reflect the year's theme.
The 2020 honorees were Elizabeth "Libby" Tyler, the first female planner in Illinois recognized as a Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners; and Petra Doan (pictured left, in green, with URP faculty and students), an urban and regional planning professor at Florida State University who researches planning issues surrounding marginalized communities, with a special focus on the LGBTQ community.
