Admissions Requirements
General Admission Requirements for the Master of Science in International Apparel Management are:
- Four-Year Bachelor’s Degree
- In apparel or textile management, business, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Overall GPA of 3.0 (Recommended)
- Applicants with GPAs between 2.5-3.0 can be considered if they demonstrate evidence of compensating qualifications, such as industry experience.
- Personal Statement
- 2 Letters of recommendation
- Resume

- CPELI is a term-long process and has to be completed before applying to the IAM program.

- GRE/GMAT Score of 450 (required unless waived)* is required if:
- Overall undergraduate GPA is below 3.0, OR
- Bachelor’s degree has been awarded from a non-accredited university or college (this includes foreign institutions), OR
- The applicant has not attended an accredited institution within the past seven years.

Application procedures include a two-part process.
- Complete an application through CSU Apply (https://www.calstate.edu/apply) and submit
- Official transcripts from all universities and colleges attended
- GRE/GMAT

- Personal Statement
- Resume
- Letters of recommendation
- It can also be emailed to the graduate program director within 2 weeks of the application

Applicants with an undergraduate degree in other disciplines and those who do not fully satisfy admission requirements may be considered for possible conditional admission. These conditions may include:
- Additional coursework,
- Minimum scholarship,
- Compensating strengths, or other requirements.
Students in conditional standing due to low GPA must satisfactorily complete 12 units with a GPA of 3.0 or higher to be eligible for unconditional graduate standing. If the conditions are not satisfied, the candidate will be denied further enrollment in the program.
Note: Candidates with conditional status are provided a written statement of entrance conditions, including the time within which the conditions are to be met.
Transcripts
Please note that your final college transcripts need to be submitted to Cal Poly Pomona as per the instructions mentioned on your Bronco Direct account's "to-do" list.
