Trenching of University Drive and Green Space Near Rose Garden to Start on Tuesday, Sept. 29
Summary of Disruption: The Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade Project contractor will trench a section of University Drive and green space near the Kellogg Rose Garden starting on Tuesday, Sept. 29. The first part of trenching will occur on University Drive weekdays from approximately 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Tuesday, Oct. 6. One lane of University Drive will remain open and flagmen will direct drivers around the trenching site. Steel plates will be placed over the trench at the end of the work day. The second part of trenching will occur in the green area and is scheduled to start on Wednesday, Oct. 7 and expected to finish by Friday, Oct. 16. Access to the Rose Garden will still be available.
Reason for Disruption: Allow contractor crews to start trenching and installing duct banks in the initial phase of the Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade Project that is underway.
