Detour for University Drive Lane Closure Extended Through Tuesday, Dec. 15
Update on Disruption: The Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project contractor has extended the timeline for trenching of the westbound lane of University Drive through Tuesday, Dec. 15. Trenching of the lane will be performed on weekdays from approximately 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Parking on both sides of University Drive from Building One to the Student Health Center in the trenching zone is prohibited.
Reason for Disruption: Allow EIU contractor crews to start trenching and installing duct banks.
How does this affect me? Follow detour signs that will lead drivers south on Olive Lane Walk Lane to westbound Camphor Lane and back to University Drive. The work area will be fenced off and construction and pedestrian signs will be posted. Alternative ADA parking along University Drive near Building One has been relocated to the north side of the parking lot behind Building One.
What do I need to do? Drivers and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching the work area and the detour route. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
