Summary of Disruption: Geotechnical survey crews will conduct pavement and soil testing at various locations along University Drive and Red Gum Lane on Monday, Sept. 21, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Traffic signs and cones will direct drivers around the work zones, and University Drive will remain open in both directions. Parking along University Drive is prohibited during testing. Access to nearby buildings will not be affected. Sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians. The contractor has taken steps to accommodate the drive-through flu shot clinic in parking lot F8 on Monday, Sept. 21.
Reason for Disruption: The geotechnical analysis will help determine the extent of pavement rehabilitation that is required and estimated costs. The results also will lead to the repair of potholes on University Drive.
