Trenching on North and East Sides of Darlene May Gymnasium to Begin on Thursday, July 15

Summary of disruption: The Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project contractor will trench in the sidewalk and green spaces on the north and east sides of Darlene May Gymnasium (Building 41) starting on Thursday, July 15. The work will be performed on weekdays from approximately 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The work area will be fenced off and installation is expected to be completed by Wednesday, Aug. 4. 

Reason for Disruption: Allow EIU contractor crews to start installing the new electrical system.

How does this affect me? Sections of sidewalk near the gymnasium will be barricaded. Use detours around the gym and alternate entrances to the building.

What do I need to do? Drivers of campus vehicles and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching the work area. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
