Trenching to Close Sections of Olive Lane Walk Starting on Monday, March 8
Summary of disruption: The Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project contractor will close sections of Olive Lane Walk adjacent to the University Office Building (Building 94), the College of Education & Integrative Studies (Building 6) and the College of Engineering (Building 9) for trenching starting on Monday, March 8. The work will be performed on weekdays from approximately 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Trenching sites will be fenced off and the work is expected to be completed in mid-April. Portions of sidewalks will be closed.
Reason for disruption: Allow EIU contractor crews to start trenching and installing the new electrical system.
How does this affect me? The vehicle entrance to Olive Lane Walk from University Drive will be blocked. Emergency vehicle access will be allowed. Detour signs will be placed at sidewalks affected by the trenching.
What do I need to do? Pedestrians should follow detour signs. Drivers of campus vehicles and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching the work area. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
