First Stage of Manhole Installation Along University Drive to Start on Wednesday, April 21
Summary of Disruption: The Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project contractor will implement the first stage of manhole installations along University Drive starting on Wednesday, April 21. The work will be performed on weekdays from approximately 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is expected to be completed in early May. Several parking spaces near one installation site will be impacted. Steel plates will be placed over the work sites at night to allow traffic to pass through University Drive.
Reason for Disruption: Allow EIU contractor crews to start installing the new electrical system.
How does this affect me? Follow the instructions of flagmen near the manhole installation sites. Construction and pedestrian signs will be posted. ADA parking near Building One will not be affected.
What do I need to do? Drivers and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching work areas. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
