Second Stage of Trenching in University Quad to Start on Wednesday, Feb. 24
Summary of Disruption: The Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project contractor will initiate the second stage of trenching in the University Quad starting on Wednesday, Feb. 24. The work will be performed on weekdays from approximately 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. An area between the College of Education & Integrative Studies (Building 6) and the University Office Building (Building 94) and green space in the Quad will be fenced off. The work is scheduled to be completed by late March.
Reason for Disruption: Allow EIU contractor crews to start installing the new electrical system.
How does this affect me? Pedestrian pathways in the Quad and between buildings will remain open. One small section of sidewalk will be closed. Access to adjacent buildings will not be impacted.
What do I need to do? Pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching the work area. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
