Work Underway to Repair Broken Reclaimed Water Main That Supplies Ag Valley and Kellogg West
Summary of disruption: A broken reclaimed water main has forced the shutdown of reclaimed water service to Ag Valley and Kellogg West. The shutdown affects the Agricultural Unit (Building 30), Poultry Unit (Building 31), Beef Unit (Building 32), Swine Unit (Building 37) and the Sheep Unit (Building 38). Irrigation to the Kellogg West Conference Center also is impacted. Repairs are expected to be completed by Thursday, Jan. 23.
Reasons for disruption: Allow crews to repair the reclaimed water main that supplies the reclaimed water system. The repair site near Kellogg West will be cordoned off.
How does this affect me? Drinking water for animals in the Beef Unit, Swine Unit and Sheep Unit will not be available. Restrooms, faucets and filling stations in those buildings are not expected to be impacted. Reclaimed water for irrigation at Kellogg West will be interrupted.
What do I need to do? Please share this information with others in the buildings who may have not received this message.
