Power Interruptions Scheduled in Three Buildings Starting at 6 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 18

Summary of disruption: The Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project contractor will interrupt power to three buildings starting at 6 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 18. Campus crews will be on standby to restore power.

The scheduled outage times and buildings:

Friday, Aug. 18 from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m.

Building One

Friday, Aug. 18 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Drama Department/Theatre (Building 25).

Friday, Aug. 18 from 6 a.m. to Saturday, Aug. 19 at 5:30 p.m.

College of Science (Building 8N). Power to computers and other devices connected to wall sockets will be taken off-line. The HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) system, elevators and lights will be operational.

Reason for disruption: Allow contractor crews to complete electrical installation of components in the new campus electrical system.  

How does this affect me? Avoid being in the buildings during the power interruption.
