Pedestrian Pathway Near Residence Halls to Close Starting on Thursday, Sept. 1

Summary of disruption: The pedestrian pathway running along Encinitas Residence Hall (Building 20) and Montecito Residence Hall (Building 21) will be closed starting at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1. The pathway is expected to re-open by 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3.

Reason for disruption: Construction work related to the University Drive Rehabilitation Project requires closure of the pathway. The crosswalk near Alamitos Residence Hall (Building 22) and Red Gum Lane also will be closed.

What do I need to do? Residents in Encinitas, Montecito, Alamitos and Aliso Residence Halls and pedestrians are urged to use walkways behind the buildings to re-connect to pedestrian pathways. Two other crosswalks near Alamitos Residence Hall will remain open.

How does this affect me? Use alternative walkways behind the residence halls to re-connect to the main pedestrian pathway.
