Project to Refurbish Crosswalk on Olive Lane Walk to Start on Monday, July 22

Summary of disruption: The crosswalk on Olive Lane Walk between the College of Education and Integrative Studies (Building 6) and the College of Engineering (Building 9) will be torn out and replaced with a raised crosswalk. Contractor crews will perform the work on weekdays from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The project is expected to be completed by Friday, Aug. 9.

Reason for disruption: Replace the current crosswalk with a raised crosswalk. The project will include the trenching of Olive Lane along with road, concrete, asphalt and plumbing work.

How does this affect me? Vehicle and foot traffic to the buildings will be re-routed. A partial closure of Olive Lane and the sidewalk from University Drive to the end of the College of Education and Integrative Studies (Building 6) will occur during the project.

What do I need to do? Use detours to get around the work areas. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
