Natural Gas Shutoff in 45 Buildings Rescheduled to Start on Monday, May 24

Reminder about disruption: A natural gas outage to 45 campus buildings has been rescheduled to begin on Monday, May 24. The duration of the shutoffs will range from three days to 12 days in specific buildings. Contractor crews will work weekdays from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Reason for disruption: Allow the contractor to make new utility connections and upgrade the current pipeline system that will allow for future expansion.

How does this affect me? During the shutoffs, hot water and heating to the buildings will not be available. The natural gas supply to labs also will be turned off.

What do I need to do? Faculty and staff can occupy offices and workspaces in buildings while the gas is turned off. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
