Irrigation Upgrade Project Near Seven Buildings to Start on Monday, March 25

Summary of disruption: The replacement of irrigation controllers, flow sensors and master valves near seven buildings will start on Monday, March 25. The work will be performed from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and crews will spend up to four days at each site. The project is expected to be completed by mid-May.

 

The affected buildings and work sites:

Building One: Area between the building and Mansion Lane.

University Plaza (Building 26): Areas south and east of the building and adjacent to Foundation Administrative Offices (Building 55).

Campus Center (Building 97): Near the loading dock.

Darlene May Gymnasium (Building 41): South corner of building.

Art Department and Engineering Complex (Building 13): Area east of the building.

Kellogg House (Building 112): Area south of the building.  

 

Reason for disruption: Further automate the irrigation system of the campus and augment water conservation.

How does this affect me? The work will occur in landscape areas near the buildings and sites will be cordoned off. Use detours to get around the work areas.

What do I need to do? Avoid walking near the work sites. Please share this information with others who have not received this message.
