Three Buildings to Undergo Natural Gas Shutoff Starting on Monday, Aug. 7

Summary of disruption: The natural gas supply to three buildings will be turned off starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 7. Campus crews will be on standby to restore gas service.

The scheduled shutoff times and buildings:

Monday, Aug. 7 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Music Building (Building 24)

Wednesday, Aug. 9 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Building One

Manor House (Building 111)

Reason for disruption: Allow contractor crews to replace an aging gas valve and leaking gas pipes.

How does this affect me? Hot water service and heating will not be available in the buildings during the shutoff.

What do I need to do? Use hot water in restrooms and faucets in nearby buildings. Please share this information with others in the buildings who may have not received this message.
