Summary of disruptions: Four buildings will undergo state-mandated testing of the fire alarm system starting at 6 a.m. on Friday, July 19. Testing is expected to be completed by 8 a.m.

The affected buildings are:

Laboratory Facility (Building 92)

Reason for disruption: Comply with state laws and ensure that fire alarms and strobe lights are working properly.

How does this affect me? Horns and strobe lights may be activated during the initial early morning testing, then alarms will be tested on silent mode. HVAC systems may be temporarily shut down during testing. Elevators will not be affected.

What do I need to do? If fire alarms are heard after the scheduled morning testing period, evacuate the building. Please share this information with others in the buildings who may have not received this message.
