First Stage of Trenching in University Quad to Start on Monday, Feb. 8
Summary of Disruption: The Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project contractor will start the first stage of trenching in the University Quad starting on Monday, Feb. 8. The work will be performed on weekdays from approximately 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. An area between the College of Science (Building 8) and the College of Letters Arts and Social Sciences (Building 5) and green space in the Quad will be fenced off. The work is scheduled to be completed in late February.
Reason for Disruption: Allow EIU contractor crews to start installing the new electrical system.
How does this affect me? Pathway access for pedestrians between the buildings will remain open. A small section of sidewalk will be closed. Access to adjacent buildings will not be impacted.
What do I need to do? Pedestrians and drivers of campus vehicles are urged to use caution when approaching the work area. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
