Fire Alarm Testing Scheduled at Six Buildings Starting at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20

Summary of disruption: State-mandated testing of fire alarm systems is scheduled at the English Language Institute (Buildings 86, 86A, 86B and 86C), Kellogg House (Building 112) and the Farm Store (Building 211) beginning at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20. Testing is expected to be completed by 2:30 p.m.

Reason for disruption: Comply with state laws and ensure that fire alarms and strobe lights are working properly.  

How does this affect me? Horns and strobe lights will be activated from 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Silent testing of alarms starts at 7:45 a.m. The HVAC system will be temporarily shut down during testing.

What do I need to do? Avoid being in the building during audible testing. If fire alarms are heard after the scheduled testing period, evacuate the building. Please share this information with others in the buildings who may have not received this message.
