Four Buildings to Undergo Fire Alarm System Tests Starting at 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 18

Summary of disruptions: State-mandated testing of the fire alarm system at four buildings is scheduled to start at 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 18. Testing is expected to conclude by 8 a.m.

The affected buildings are:

The Don B. Huntley College of Agriculture (Building 2)

Roundhouse (Building 16)

Darlene May Gymnasium (Building 41)

Kellogg Arena (Building 43)

Reason for disruption: Comply with state laws and ensure that fire alarms and strobe lights are working properly.

How does this affect me? Horns and strobe lights may be activated during the initial early morning testing, then alarms will be tested on silent mode. HVAC systems may be temporarily shut down during testing. Elevators will not be affected.

What do I need to do? If fire alarms are heard after the scheduled morning testing period, evacuate the building. Please share this information with others in the buildings who may have not received this message.
