Fire Alarm Tests Scheduled in Five Buildings Starting on Wednesday, Dec. 2

Summary of disruption: Fire alarm testing is scheduled in five buildings on Wednesday, Dec. 2, and Thursday, Dec. 3. Crews will perform tests from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on both days.

Tests will be performed in:

Building 16 (Roundhouse)

Building 27 (Water Treatment Plant)

Building 34 (Meat Lab)

Building 49 (Facilities Management Training Center)

Building 91 (Information & Technology Services)

Reason for disruption: Allow the university to conduct state-mandated annual testing of the fire alarm system in each campus building.

How does this affect me? Elevators will not be operational during testing. The HVAC system will undergo interruptions. Loud horns and flashing strobe lights may be triggered during tests.
