Fire Alarm Testing Scheduled in Six Buildings on Thursday, Aug. 6
Update on disruption: Fire alarm tests in Building 7 (College of Environmental Design), Building 13 (Art Department and Engineering Annex) and Building 13A, 13B, 13C and 13D trailers have been scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 6. Testing is slated to begin at 8 a.m. and is expected to end at approximately 2 p.m.
Reason for disruption: Allow the university to conduct state-mandated annual testing of the fire alarm system in each building.
How does this affect me? Loud horns and flashing strobe lights will be activated during testing. The HVAC system in each building will undergo interruptions during the tests. Elevators will not be affected.
What do I need to do? Avoid being in the buildings during testing. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
