Seven Buildings to Undergo Fire Alarm Testing on Thursday, Aug. 13

Update on disruption: Fire alarm tests in Building 41 (Darlene May Gymnasium), Building 24 (Music Building) and Building 24A, 24B, 24C, 24D and 24E trailers have been scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 13. Testing is slated to begin at 8 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 1 p.m.

Reason for disruption: Allow the university to conduct state-mandated annual testing of the fire alarm system in each building.

How does this affect me? Loud horns and flashing strobe lights will be activated during testing. The HVAC system in each building will undergo interruptions during the tests. Elevators will not be affected.

What do I need to do? Avoid being in the buildings during testing. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
