Trenching in Engineering Meadow to Start on Thursday, Jan. 14
Summary of Disruption: The Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project contractor will start trenching in the Engineering Meadow near the College of Engineering (Building 9) and a section of green space near the Art Department and Engineering Annex (Building 13) starting on Thursday, Jan. 14. Trenching will be performed on weekdays from approximately 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The work site will be fenced off and trenching is expected to finish in early February. Access to adjacent buildings will not be impacted.
Reason for Disruption: Allow EIU contractor crews to start trenching and installing electrical duct banks.
How does this affect me? The work area will be fenced off and construction signs will be posted. Emergency exit from Building 13 through the second-story pedestrian bridge is not impacted.
What do I need to do? Drivers of campus vehicles and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching the work area. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
