Water Shutdown and Crane Placement Scheduled at Darlene May Gymnasium on Thursday, Nov. 9
Summary of disruptions: Darlene May Gymnasium (Building 41) will undergo a water shutdown on Thursday, Nov. 9 starting at approximately 5 a.m. Water service is expected to be restored by 10 a.m. In addition, a crane will be placed near the building to hoist new HVAC units to the roof from approximately 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Reasons for disruption: Allow contractor crews to chlorinate new water lines in the building and install new heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) units.
How does this affect me? Water to restrooms, filling stations and faucets will not be available during the shutoff. The crane will impede the path of travel. Orange cones will be placed around the work area. Follow the directions of flag personnel at the site.
What do I need to do? Use restrooms, faucets, and filling stations in nearby buildings such as the Bronco Recreation Intramural Complex (Building 42) and Kellogg Arena (Building 43). Use detours to get around the crane work area. Please share this information with others in the building who may have not received this message.
