Fire Alarm Testing to Continue at Five Buildings Starting at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31
Summary of disruption: State-mandated testing of the fire alarm systems will continue at five buildings starting at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31. Testing is expected to be completed by 2:30 p.m.
The affected buildings are:
CLA Classroom (Building 98C)
College of Business Administration (Buildings 162, 163 and 164)
Chilled Water Plant (Building 193)
Reason for disruption: Comply with state laws and ensure that fire alarms and strobe lights are working properly.
How does this affect me? The fire alarms will be tested on silent mode. HVAC systems may be temporarily shut down during tests. Elevators will not be affected.
What do I need to do? If fire alarms are heard after the scheduled silent mode testing period, evacuate the building. Please share this information with others in the buildings who may have not received this message.
