Replacement of Concrete Sidewalks and Walkways at Four Sites Across Campus Underway

Summary of disruption: Contractor crews are replacing concrete walkways and sidewalks at four locations across the university starting on Tuesday, Aug. 13. The work will be performed on weekdays from approximately 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. The project is expected to be completed by Friday, Aug. 16.

The concrete replacement sites are:

  1. Walkway adjacent to the activity field at Kellogg Arena (Building 43) and English Language Institute (Building 86).
  2. Walkway adjacent to the southwest side of the Bronco Student Center (Building 35).
  3. Sidewalk to the north of the College of Science (Building 8) and University Drive.
  4. Sidewalk to the west of Building One and University Drive.

Reason for disruption: Allow for the demolition and installation of new sidewalks and walkways.

How does this affect me? Pedestrians and drivers of campus vehicles are urged to use caution when approaching the work areas. Traffic and pedestrian flow will be re-routed. Sidewalks and walkways are subject to closure.

What do I need to do? Use detours to get around the work areas. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
