Collins College of Hospitality Management to Undergo Fire Alarm System Testing on Tuesday, July 30

Summary of disruption: State-mandated testing of fire alarm systems is scheduled at The Collins College of Hospitality Management (Buildings 79, 79A, 79B and 80) starting at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30. Testing is expected to be completed by 8 a.m.

Reason for disruption: Comply with state laws and ensure that fire alarms and strobe lights are working properly.  

How does this affect me? Horns and strobe lights may be activated during the initial early morning testing, then alarms will be tested on silent mode. HVAC systems may be temporarily shut down during tests. Elevators will not be affected. 

What do I need to do? If fire alarms are heard after the scheduled morning testing period, evacuate the building. Please share this information with others in the buildings who may have not received this message.
