Second Stage of Electrical Cable Installation to Start on Monday, June 28
Summary of disruption: The Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project contractor will commence the second stage of electrical cable installation in underground duct banks around various part of campus starting on Monday, June 28. The work will be performed on weekdays from approximately 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This phase of cable installation is expected to be completed in mid-July.
Cables will be installed near:
College of Engineering (Building 9)
Art Department and Engineering Annex (Building 13)
Huntley College of Agriculture (Building 2)
Sicomoro Residence Hall (Building 73)
Secoya Residence Hall (Building 74)
Residential Suites (Buildings 60, 61, 62 and 63)
Darlene May Gymnasium (Building 41)
Kellogg Arena (Building 43)
Student Health Center (Building 46)
Reason for disruption: Allow the contractor to install the new campus electrical system.
How does this affect me? Cable installation will be performed underground and is not expected to cause detours.
What do I need to do? Pedestrians and drivers of campus of campus vehicles are urged to use caution when approaching the work areas. Please share this information with others in the building who may have not received this message.
