Building 80 at Collins College of Hospitality Management to Undergo Fire Alarm Testing on Thursday, Aug. 1

Summary of disruption: State-mandated testing of fire alarm systems is scheduled in Building 80 at The Collins College of Hospitality Management starting at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1. Testing is expected to be completed by 8 a.m.

Reason for disruption: Comply with state laws and ensure that fire alarms and strobe lights are working properly.  

How does this affect me? Horns and strobe lights will be activated during testing. HVAC systems may be temporarily shut down during tests. Elevators will not be affected. 

What do I need to do? Avoid being in the building during audible testing. If fire alarms are heard after the scheduled morning testing period, evacuate the building. Please share this information with others in the buildings who may have not received this message.
