Fire Alarm Tests Scheduled at Art Department and Engineering Annex and Adjacent Trailers Starting at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26

Summary of disruption: State-mandated testing of fire alarm systems is scheduled at the Art Department and Engineering Annex (Building 13) and adjacent trailers (Building 13B, 13C and 13D) beginning at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26. Testing is expected to be completed by 2:30 p.m.

Reason for disruption: Comply with state laws and ensure that fire alarms and strobe lights are working properly.  

How does this affect me? Horns and strobe lights will be activated from 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Silent testing of alarms starts at 7:45 a.m. The HVAC system will be temporarily shut down during testing. Elevators will not be affected.

What do I need to do? Avoid being in the building during audible testing. If fire alarms are heard after the scheduled testing period, evacuate the building. Please share this information with others in the buildings who may have not received this message.
