Five Buildings to Undergo Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Testing on Tuesday, July 26

Summary of disruption: State-mandated annual fire alarm and sprinkler inspections and certification testing are scheduled in five buildings starting at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26. Audible alarm testing will be conducted from 5 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and silent alarm tests will commence at 8 a.m. per building schedule (see below).  

Testing times and the affected buildings are:

I-Poly High School (Building 85) starting at 8 a.m.

Rose Float Lab (Building 105) beginning at 11 a.m.

Interim Design Center (Building 89) commencing at noon

Interim Design Center (Buildings 89A and 89B) starting at 2 p.m.

Reason for disruption: Comply with state laws and ensure that fire sprinklers, alarms and strobe lights are working properly.

How does this affect me? Audible alarm and strobe lights testing in the buildings is scheduled from 5 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Elevators will not be in service during the audible tests. Afterward, silent testing of alarm equipment and sprinklers will be conducted with minimal impact to occupants.
