The Society of Hospitality and Foodservice Management (SHFM) hosted sixteen Collins College students for a day at their national conference, Fueling the Future- Leading Transformation. NSMH Faculty Advisor Lesley Butler, and members of Collins College’s student organizations, Food & Beverage Professionals (FBP) and the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH), were treated to a day of industry education.
Session topics included The Future Workforce: Attracting and Retaining the Best Young Talent, Embracing Change – Engaging the Future and At the Crossroads: Transforming Workplace Hospitality. Students finished the day with an opportunity to network with industry professionals.
