Hospitality Uncorked, the annual gala supporting The Collins College of Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona, raised more than $500,000 to support California’s premier hospitality management program.
More than 600 distinguished supporters and friends of The Collins College wound up down the rabbit hole during the Wine Wonderland themed event to celebrate the vibrant hospitality industry while honoring Gary Eberle, owner and founder of Eberle Winery, for his contributions to advance the state’s hospitality industry.
The Diamond Ballroom at the JW Marriott Los Angeles LA Live was transformed into a mystical wine wonderland where attendees enjoyed magical flavors, sounds, and dances, and indulged in gourmet hors d'oeuvres and of course, lots of wine from Mr. Eberle and guest chefs … even the walls were handing out wine.
Guests supported The Collins College throughout the night by participating in silent and live auctions that included everything from luxury travel packages and premium experiences, to exceptional wines, paddleboards and beach cruisers.
“We couldn't be more grateful for the support our partners in the industry have for our students who are striving to make a difference in the world of hospitality,” says Dr. Lea Dopson, dean of The Collins College of Hospitality Management. “Your faith in our students and their future is what propels the program forward.”
