Dr. MJ Lee Earns 2020 JHTE Article of the Year Award
June 17, 2021
A first-authored paper by James A. Collins Distinguished Professor Myong Jae (MJ) Lee, Ph.D., published in the Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Education (JHTE) was chosen as the 2020 Article of the Year by the JHTE Editorial Board.
The empirical research paper titled, "Managerial attitudes towards green practices in educational restaurant operations: An importance-performance analysis," examines restaurant managers' and operators' perspectives of current sustainable practices at restaurants at educational institutions with 2 to 4-year hospitality programs. The study identifies the most commonly practiced green attributes applied at educational restaurants, explores the importance of each attribute from the operator's perspective, and investigates the actual performance of those attributes in their restaurants.
Dr. Lee will be recognized during the 2021 virtual International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (I-CHRIE) Conference next month. This is Lee's second time receiving this honor since 2017.
