While some may be used to networking and meeting people through websites nowadays, Collins College decided to put a fun twist on the generic rules of the networking world. Alumni were invited to join in on an experience that brought students a face to face interaction with actual working individuals in some of the most popular industry jobs.
The participating alumni came together in a “speed dating” like fashion to bring the students any and all information they could offer about their job before the buzzer rang and it was time for them to move to the next person. The event continued like this until everyone was able to meet.
The students were able to ask engaging questions to their once, fellow Broncos, who are actively working in the professions many students desire. They learned the real ins and outs of specific work places and the best ways to go about reaching a job like they have directly from the source themselves.
We were thankful to have these alumni stop by and offer our students such a great learning experience. The students were motivated even more than they were to get out there and work harder to seal the job they aspire to have.
RIIIING!!! On to the next …
