Dr. Hyounae (Kelly) Min is an Associate Professor for The Collins College of Hospitality Management at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Dr. Min found her passion for customer service while working in the financial industry as an investment consultant. Later, Dr. Min worked as a flight attendant for Qatar Airways in Doha, Qatar. This exciting environment working closely with diverse customers and employees helped shape her research direction.
Dr. Min's current research focuses on justice and diversity management. In particular, she is interested in the impact of diversity from both customer and employee perspectives. She has published in top-tier hospitality and tourism journals such as International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Cornell Quarterly and Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research.
Dr. Min earned a B.S. in Business Administration and International Trade and Business from Kangwon National University, South Korea; a master’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Virginia Tech, USA; and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Washington State University, USA.
