Daniel Peña is a Pushcart Prize-winning writer, book reviewer, and professor whose work was featured in the Guardian, NBC News, the Rumpus, Ploughshares, and Gulf Coast among other outlets. His debut novel, Bang (Arte Publico Press), was the recipient of the 2019 NACCS Tejas Foco Award. A graduate of Cornell University and a Fulbright-Gracia Robles Scholar, he served as a Picador Guest Professor at Universityät Leipzig in Leipzig, Germany. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Houston-Downtown.
