Department of Theatre and New Dance guest choreographer Suchi Branfman performs her dance, "Anticueca," during the In Liminal Flux dance concert in mid-January.

The Cal Poly Pomona Department of Theatre and New Dance is invited to the American College Dance Association (ACDA) for adjudication in early March.

The dance program will perform in two ACDA regions based at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, March 4-7, and Arizona State University in Phoenix, Arizona, March 6-9.

In Virginia, undergrad dance student Santino Lojero and graduate student Manuel Macias will perform a dance project they call "What Blaisia thinks Blaisia Knows.” Traveling with Lojero and Macias will be dance faculty member Gayle Fekete.

At ASU for adjudication will be guest choreographer Suchi Branfman and her piece, "Anticueca,” which she performed during the In Liminal Flux dance concert in mid-January. Well established in the Los Angeles dance scene, Branfman will join the Department of Theatre and New Dance faculty roster during Spring Quarter 2018. Traveling with her will be dance lecturer Jeremy Hahn.

More than 300 colleges and universities participate in the ACDA Festival, which has supported dance in higher education for more than 40 years through regional conferences and national festivals.
